Prior to that, she received training through the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and served as a federal equal employment opportunity investigator, investigating employment discrimination claims filed by federal employees.
As an associate in private practice, she defended boards of education in lawsuits filed pursuant to federal and state special education and civil rights laws. She provided a full range of services around cases involving public education, federal and state special education and civil rights laws and regulations. Additionally, she drafted board policies and procedures.
