Richard is a commercial litigator whose practice focuses on complex business disputes, class actions and appellate advocacy. A New York native and first-generation college and law school graduate, Richard represents clients in high-stakes litigation across a wide range of industries.

Richard has experience handling all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts, from pre-suit investigations and motion practice through appeal. His broad practice exposure enables him to quickly understand clients’ businesses and develop practical, results-oriented strategies tailored to their objectives. He approaches every matter with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for his clients.

Prior to joining Harris Beach Murtha, Richard represented technology companies, financial institutions and shipping and logistics companies in complex commercial litigation and investigations. He gained signficant experience in plaintiff-side class action litigation, working on matters involving anti-trust and consumer privacy issues. Richard further developed his appellate experience while serving in the Staff Attorneys’ Office of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, where he worked on a broad range of federal appellate matters.
