Rochester Area Community Foundation recognized Partner H. Todd Bullard with a 2023 Philanthropy Award. The Award goes to individuals, families and companies for consistent support of nonprofit organizations in both time and money.

“If not for this award, many of our honorees would remain behind the scenes, invisibly savoring the good works they have started, built on, or completed. We thank them for going public with their generosity to inspire others,” the Foundation says about the Awards program, now in its fourth decade.

Todd was honored for contributions to organizations such as the Flaum Eye Institute, the University of Buffalo Law School, Rural-Metro Ambulance and the Community Foundation. He also has a long history of civic involvement with charitable and non-profit organizations across the community.

Currently, Todd serves as a member of the Hillside Board of Governors; in the past, he has served on the boards of Action for a Better Community, Strong National Museum of Play, Center for Dispute Settlement, Legal Aid Society, Nazareth Schools, Rochester Preservation Board and the Urban League of Rochester.

Todd has also spent time in public service as a member of the Monroe County Legislature from 1992 to 2005. During his tenure, Todd served as vice chair of the Ways and Means Committee, assistant minority leader and minority leader.

At Harris Beach, Todd is a partner in the Harris Beach Public Finance and Economic Development and Business and Commercial Litigation practice groups and the Municipalities and Local Agencies Industry Team. He also leads the Diversity Compliance Practice Group. He focuses his practice on advising organizations about commercial contracts and procurements related to public and private projects. Todd also serves as co-chair of the Harris Beach Council on Inclusion and Diversity.

Todd was honored with three other award recipients during a lunchtime celebration on Sept. 21 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
