The recent Executive Order from President Donald Trump on immigration puts new limits on the ability of foreign nationals to enter and work in the United States. However, it could end up being counter-productive, partner L.J. D’Arrigo of the Capital Region office of Harris Beach said in an article in the Western New York Daily Record and the Rochester Business Journal. “This is just a further extension of what the current administration has been seeking to do from the beginning, and that is limiting legal immigration,” L.J. told the Daily Record. This focus is in sharp contrast to previous administrations, which focused on undocumented workers, according to the article. L.J. is co-leader of the Harris Beach Immigration Law practice group.
