Lawyers of Color has named partner H. Todd Bullard as one of the nation’s best attorneys for his noteworthy accomplishments and commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

Todd was honored along with attorneys from some of the nation’s largest organizations and law firms, such as the managing counsel at American Express, an associate general counsel at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., the intellectual property general counsel at Xerox, and senior counsel at both Marriott and Procter & Gamble.

Todd and the other attorneys were named to the inaugural “Nation’s Best” List compiled by Lawyers of Color, a non-profit organization that promotes diversity in the law and equality and democracy among marginalized communities. The organization selected 100 attorneys in each of six regions.

Todd represents local agencies, not-for-profits, public housing authorities, counties, cities, government legislatures, school districts and local development corporations as outside counsel related to corporate and operational matters and litigation defense. He also leads our Diversity Compliance Practice Group and is a member of the Business and Commercial Litigation; Municipalities and Local Agencies; Construction and Surety Law and Public Finance and Economic Development practices.

Todd was elected as a Monroe County Legislator and served in the Legislature from 1991 to 2005, becoming Democratic minority leader in 2000. Todd has also served on the boards of directors of the Strong Museum, the Urban League of Rochester, the Rochester Preservation Board, the Legal Aid Society and the Boy Scouts of America, among other important Rochester institutions.
