The New York Daily Record recently published a story on Harris Beach’s Heidi Schult Gregory receiving the 2024 Attorney Professionalism Award from the New York State Bar Association.

The article featured this quote from New York Bar Association President Richard Lewis:

“Heidi Schult Gregory’s integrity, leadership and her commitment to the inclusion and development of women attorneys make her a well-deserving recipient of our Attorney Professionalism Award,” he said. “She is a role model, an inspirational leader and the type of attorney who makes you want to be a lawyer.”

The full New York Daily Record article has much more information on Heidi and the award, which is given annually to honor a member of NYSBA for outstanding professionalism, defined as dedication to service to clients and a commitment to promoting respect for the legal system in pursuit of justice and the public good, characterized by exemplary ethical conduct, competence, good judgment, integrity and civility.

Heidi is the firm’s Rochester office managing partner – the first female to hold that leadership role in the long history of the firm. Heidi is also co leader of the Cannabis Industry Team, a member and former chair of the firm’s Health Care Industry Team, and a member of the Government Compliance and Investigations and Business and Commercial Litigation practice groups.

Over the course of Heidi’s esteemed career, she has achieved many professional accomplishments while maintaining a commitment to the community and unwavering dedication as a leader and mentor.

Heidi is a member and proponent of HB Women Connect, an affinity group formed by the firm’s Council for Inclusion and Diversity that fosters the inclusion, development and promotion of women attorneys. She also spearheaded the firm’s Promotions Project Committee, which identifies employee talent for appropriate awards. She is an active member of several additional firm committees such as the Attorney Social Committee, Client Experience Committee and Rochester Community Involvement Committee.
