Harris Beach Murtha’s Long Island office celebrated its 15-year anniversary in April. The milestone event drew a crowd of more than 200 guests and garnered press coverage.

Long Island Business News published an article highlighting the business and government leaders who attended the celebration, the role the office and its attorneys have played in economic development on Long Island and the firm’s plan to add an office in Suffolk County by 2026.

The article stated, “the firm, from its office in Uniondale, has played a role in some of Long Island’s key developments, including at Catholic Health, in representing Suffolk in development surrounding Long Island MacArthur Airport, for Sunrise Wind Farm, in a $1 billion waterfront redevelopment initiative in the City of Glen Cove, in Belmont Park and more.”

Harris Beach Murtha CEO Chris Jagel and Office managing Partner Tom Garry spoke to Long Island Business News reporter Adina Genn about expanding the firm’s Long Island presence in Suffolk County:

“We see tremendous opportunity going forward, where there’s not a lot of infrastructure yet. We think we can really play a role in helping that infrastructure and helping Suffolk grow, and we want to grow right along with it,” Chris said.

“[By 2026] we need to have a robust practice in Suffolk County,” Tom said. “I’m looking for lawyers based in Suffolk County that want to use a larger platform. We don’t want to just have an office. We want to have an office in Suffolk County that is built around talented people.”
