Earlier this summer attorney and Harris Beach Cannabis Industry Team member Meaghan Feenan joined a Rochester Business Journal webinar to discuss the state’s burgeoning cannabis market. Feenan told participants not to wait for regulations to be put in place, anybody planning to do business in the cannabis industry should be getting ready now, preparing documentation they’d need to file applications and meet regulatory standards. She advised that the state will want to see past tax returns, and information on all business partners. And that a location should be picked out and retail sites must show they can take possession of the property within 30 days.
