Attorney Brendan M. Palfreyman’s article, “Insights For Finance Firms, Regulators From House AI Report,” was recently published by Law360.
Brendan’s article summarizes a 273-page report issued in December 2024 by a task force consisting of 24 representatives from the Democratic and Republican parties, and provides key background, findings and recommendations in relation to Artificial Intelligence with regard to the financial sector.
“As AI continues to redefine the financial industry, it is reshaping how financial products and services are developed, delivered and regulated,” Brendan said in the article. “However, realizing the full promise of AI requires a nuanced approach that balances innovation with the need for robust consumer protections and regulatory oversight.”
Brendan also noted that, “the emphasis on high-quality data, transparent development and equitable access suggests that the future of AI in finance will be shaped not just by technological capabilities, but by the industry’s ability to implement these tools in ways that benefit all stakeholders in the financial ecosystem.”
