Aaron B. Goldman, the firm’s new senior counsel, recently discussed his move to Harris Beach Murtha with Law360.
Goldman told Law360 he picked Harris Beach because he “wanted to be at a firm with a strong real estate platform, a growing environmental practice, and a collaborative culture.”

Goldman, a member of the firm’s Commercial Real Estate and Environmental practice groups, also discussed a recent redevelopment deal that involved significant environmental issues.
“The challenge was balancing the client’s business objectives with uncertain regulatory and remediation risks,” he said. “We worked closely with environmental consultants, evaluated potential liability pathways, negotiated contractual risk-allocation provisions, and developed a strategy that allowed the transaction to move forward while appropriately managing the environmental exposure.”
“Matters like that underscore the importance of viewing real estate and environmental issues together rather than in isolation,” he added.
