Law360 published an article in remembrance of Harris Beach Murtha colleague and friend Daniel J. Krisch. The article paid tribute to Dan’s legal career and influence within the legal profession featuring reflections from his former colleagues and members of the legal community.

Dan joined the firm in 2023 and was a partner in the Appellate, Business Litigation and Municipalities and Local Agencies practices based in the firm’s Hartford, Connecticut office. He had more than two decades of experience resolving complex legal issues and argued hundreds of appeals. Dan was known for teaching moot court and appellate advocacy at the University of Connecticut School of Law and publishing a bi-weekly column in the Connecticut Law Tribune. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ellen Peters, former Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court.

Brian D. Ginsberg, who leads Harris Beach Murtha’s Appellate Practice Group, told Law360 Pulse that he knew of Dan’s reputation among the Connecticut bar well before he joined the firm. “But after Dan joined Harris Beach Murtha, and we began working together, I saw that he was not only a remarkable lawyer but a remarkable person as well,” Brian said. “I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand his deep humanity, including his devotion to friends and family — especially his children. I also was the beneficiary of his signature wit, which he brought not only to personal conversations but to meetings and moot courts as well.”

Harris Beach Murtha Partner Andy Corea, who was managing partner at Murtha Cullina when Dan was hired said, “Adding Dan to our team was a major coup for Murtha Cullina. Whether he was handling high-stakes appeals, helping others prepare for their arguments or organizing potluck lunches and late-night in-office soccer games, he elevated our practice and raised our spirits. He will be greatly missed, and our thoughts are with his family.”
