A digital news organization in New York City has named Energy Industry Team Partner Aubrey Ohanian to its inaugural list of emerging leaders and changemakers. Aubrey is part of PoliticsNY’s 2022 Power Players Rising, consisting of “dedicated public servants, emerging leaders and growing entrepreneurs” whose accomplishments are coming to the forefront.

“Our 2022 Power Players Rising are just getting started, whether it be taking on new roles, starting new businesses, or finishing their first year in public office and we are excited to what they achieve in the years to come,” PoliticsNY observes. In addition to Aubrey, the list includes individuals such as the press secretary to Gov. Kathy Hochul, numerous members of the New York City Council, senior managers from businesses such as Uber and others.

Aubrey got the chance to answer a few questions for the list, and in her responses gave some wise advice to people just starting their careers. “Remain a student. No matter your field, there is always more to learn,” she said. Click to read more about Aubrey and the Power Players Rising.

As a member of the Firm’s Energy Industry Team, Aubrey advises clients on regulatory matters before the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC). Aubrey’s regulatory practice before the PSC includes representing transmission developers in securing Certificates of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need (CECPN) pursuant to Article VII of the Public Service Law (PSL), gas and electric corporations seeking to transfer or lease regulated assets and secure Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN), utilities in rate case proceedings, and corporate entities and real estate developers seeking to obtain approval to submeter electricity within multi-family residential buildings. Aubrey is also a member of the Harris Beach Appellate Practice.
