Harris Beach Cannabis Industry Team members FL Gorman and Brendan Palfreyman were recently highlighted in news articles about the burgeoning cannabis market in New York state.

Brendan was interviewed by Cannabis: Higher Law, a newsletter from The American Lawyer. He covered proposed regulations from New York’s Cannabis Control Board governing the packaging, marketing and lab testing of adult-use marijuana. Brendan addressed frequently asked questions such as which of the proposed regulations stand out or have sparked debate; what are the penalties for non-compliance; and how do these proposed regulations compare with those of other states?

FL was included in a Rochester Business Journal article on the challenges cannabis ventures may face getting enough startup money. “For New York’s program to be successful, there has to be parity between the legacy and legal market prices,” he said.
