Dana R. Bucin, Partner and Chair of the Immigration Group at Murtha Cullina LLP, was awarded “Attorney of the Year” by the Connecticut Law Tribune.
The award was presented at the Connecticut Law Tribune’s Connecticut Legal Awards, held on May 16, at the Bond Ballroom in Hartford.
Ms. Bucin was among three finalists. The awards are determined through a panel review of submissions sent in from attorneys and firms from across the state.
Ms. Bucin, Chair of the Immigration Group, represents clients with a wide range of employment-based and family-based immigration matters. As an immigration attorney with a business/ corporate legal background, Ms. Bucin’s experience includes counseling foreign investors and entrepreneurs on setting up businesses in the U.S. or investing in existing U.S. ventures and obtaining a visa or green card pursuant to visa programs for EB-5 immigrant investors, L-1 “new office” managers/ executives, E-2 treaty investors, and H-1B “entrepreneurs”. Ms. Bucin is fluent in Spanish, French and Romanian, and has a basic knowledge of Italian, German, Hungarian and Latin.
In 2018, Ms. Bucin was appointed to serve as the Honorary Consul of Romania to Connecticut. The Romanian Government appointed Ms. Bucin and the U.S. Department of State confirmed the appointment.
