Jason W. Klimek, co-leader of the Harris Beach Murtha’s Cannabis Industry Team, was named a Global Top 200 Cannabis Lawyer for 2025-2026 by Cannabis Law Report & Cannabis Law Journal.

The list is compiled using an annual survey of clients and lawyers in the cannabis legal services sector around the world and aims to allow prospective clients to source cannabis, hemp and CBD legal specialists in the jurisdictions where they wish to do business.

Jason has developed a stellar reputation working with cannabis companies of all forms and sizes on entity selection, taxation, funding, licensing, regulatory navigation, employment issues, securities transactions and a host of other matters. As New York rolled out its legal cannabis market, he worked with lawmakers and regulators to help develop the Marijuana Regulation and Tax Act that legalized cannabis use, as well as some of its subsequent regulatory components.
