Bloomberg Law consulted L.J. D’Arrigo, leader of Harris Beach Murtha’s Immigration Practice Group, for a story about worksite enforcement and the growing demand for agricultural businesses to enter the H-2A visa program.

The H-2A program, which is not subject to an annual cap, enables agricultural employers to recruit foreign workers for seasonal positions.

According to the article, “a surge in sweeps and arrests by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers has reportedly led immigrants to stay home from jobs, imperiling manufacturing and crop harvests.”

“The shift in tone does have people worried,” L.J. said in an interview with Bloomberg Law.
