The New York Department of Health (DOH) announced March 8 that the 2022-2023 Value Based Payment (VBP) Reporting Requirements Technical Specifications Manual is available.
The purpose of the manual is to make VBP stakeholders aware of the quality measure reporting requirements for Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) participating in New York’s Medicaid VBP Program. The 2022-2023 VBP Reporting Requirements refer to data for Measurement Year 2022 (“MY 2022”).
Providers that participate with MCOs may want to be aware of the value-based payment reporting requirements being used by MCOs. It is expected this will impact reimbursement decisions.
