On November 7, Vincent Merola and Destiny Bajonero co-presented, "The Corporate Transparency Act: An Overview," in a CLE webinar hosted by the Connecticut Bar Association. 

The presentation provided an overview of the U.S. Corporate Transparency Act and its reporting requirements, which came into effect on January 1, 2024. Vincent and Destiny also explained what the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) is, why Congress chose to enact it, the types of entities that fall under the ambit of the CTA and its reporting exemptions and, lastly, the types of information that must be reported, reporting deadlines and penalties for late reporting/failure to report.
