On April 4, partner Jonathan Horne and associate Lindsey McComber presented on “Obtaining Preliminary Relief in Bankruptcy Litigation” at a Bankruptcy Section meeting for the Worcester County Bar Association.

The presentation focused on providing an overview of the common types of preliminary relief including temporary restraining orders (TROs), preliminary injunctions, writs of attachment and trustee process attachments. Jonathan and Lindsey also explained ways to obtain these different forms of preliminary relief and essential details to keep in mind throughout the process.

A member of Murtha’s Litigation and Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights practices, Jonathan represents businesses and individuals in all aspects of the bankruptcy process. He represents committees, trustees and debtors in connection with commercial bankruptcy and insolvency matters, including initiating and defending bankruptcy litigation, involuntary bankruptcy proceedings, state court receiverships and advising and negotiating in connection with out-of-court workouts and forbearance agreements.

Lindsey is an associate in Murtha Cullina’s Litigation practice. She assists clients with all stages of litigation from pretrial matters through trial and appeal and conducts in-depth legal research for a diverse array of matters.
