On November 30, Ed Spinella, chair of the firm's Tax-Exempt Organizations practice and co-chair of the Education practice, will be speaking at the TANGO 2023 Building Bridges Nonprofit Conference.
Alongside Rollin Schuster, Rick Sebastian and Jessica Smith, Ed will present, "From Mission to Margin: A Nonprofit's Journey into Social Enterprise." The session will provide a comprehensive exploration of the dynamic intersection between nonprofit organizations and social enterprise. Ed's portion of the talk will discuss the legal intricacies, compliance requirements, and best practices that guide nonprofits as they navigate the evolving landscape of socially-driven entrepreneurship.
Ed serves as general counsel to a diverse array of tax-exempt organizations including start-up public charities, social service providers, other healthcare organizations, private foundations, social clubs and trade associations.
