Harris Beach Murtha Immigration Partner Dana Bucin will serve as a panelist during the 2nd Annual Latino Policy Agenda Summit—Charting Our Path: The Connecticut Latino Policy Agenda Summit, taking place on Saturday, October 4th in Hartford, CT.

Dana’s session, “The Immigration Crisis: Responding to Fear with Justice,” will explore the immigration enforcement actions under the Trump administration in 2025, including detentions and deportations targeting Latin American immigrants and students on temporary visas. The discussion will also address legal threats to birthright citizenship, as well as the broader implications for the estimated 116,000+ non-citizen Latinos residing in Connecticut.

The Latino Summit is organized by the Connecticut General Assembly’s Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity (CWCSEO), UConn El Instituto, UConn Puerto Rican Studies Initiative and the UConn School of Social Work’s Puerto Rican/Latino Studies Project.
