Clear as Mud: State Drug Price Transparency Laws and Their Impact on Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Independent Pharmacies, and Patients

In the last five years, many states have enacted drug price transparency requirements for pharmaceutical drug manufacturers as state policymakers continue to grapple with drug pricing issues. This program will provide an overview of these requirements, the enforcement landscape, and what to expect in 2022 as new state drug price transparency laws continue to proliferate. The program will also discuss the major drug reimbursement issues impacting independent pharmacies and patients as well as some potential approaches for independent pharmacies to respond to the challenge of increasing drug prices.
