On Monday, Appellate chair Daniel Krisch spoke at the 2024 Connecticut Legal Conference hosted by the Connecticut Bar Association. Alongside a Connecticut Supreme Court Justice and a motions attorney in the Office of the Appellate Clerk, Dan spoke during “The Secret Life of State Appellate Motion Practice,” a CLE program presented by the Appellate Law Section of the CBA.
The program covered the different types of appellate motions, how appellate jurists handle these motions, tips for engaging in appellate motion practice and new formatting rules that are affecting appellate motions.
Over the course of his appellate career, Dan Krisch has argued more than 120 appeals, including matters related to multi-million dollar tort verdicts, commercial and contract litigation, complex divorce cases, zoning and land use matters, serious criminal convictions, election disputes and issues of constitutional law and fundamental rights. He advises clients about appellate issues and helps them anticipate and prepare for appeals, all while prioritizing their goals, recognizing that successful appeals begin long before they are filed.
