Session Overview:
Breaches seldom occur on Mondays at 9:45 AM after you have had your first cup of coffee. They happen at the worst time – often at the beginning of a long weekend when no one is around to intervene, and everyone is on vacation and difficult to reach. Feedback from our last cybersecurity program revealed that many wanted to know what they can do to help their organization get through the first 24 to 48 hours following the discovery of a breach and before the outside response team is in place. • Incidents involving cloud service providers

• Potential notifications to regulators and important customers and vendors

• Managing employee and customer expectations
• Developing internal and external messaging
• Notifying affected customers and individuals: when and how

How to Close an Incident

• Finalizing the incident log
• Debriefing
• Incorporating lessons learned into both the security plan and the IR plan
